How could you not fall in love with this face?!?

Wyatt has started smiling and cooing alot this week- it's adorable! Not alot going on around here right now. We're just looking forward to a fun filled 4th of July weekend, going to one of my best friends weddings and spending time with family.

Fathers Day

Here are a few pics from Wyatt and Aaron's 1st Fathers Day. We spent the weekend at my parents house in Comanche and it was Wyatt's first overnight trip away from home. He did just fine! (Of course, he was being loved on the whole time by his Nana and PaPa, so I'm sure that helped!) I love my boys and I've loved watching Aaron with Wyatt. I can't wait to see them play catch, go fishing, and do all the things that "boys" do :)

Your 1st Month

Lil Man-

Today you have been in this world for one whole month! It has been the most amazing month of our lives. Each day is a learning experience for us as we try to become the best mommy and daddy we can be. We still have so much to learn, but always know that we love you more than anything and will always, always be there for you. I say a million prayers a day for you and sneak in some for myself for the guidance that I need as a parent.
It is so amazing to look at you and see little pieces of me and your daddy in you. You have your dad's dark hair and complexion and my nose and mouth. Your the perfect combination of us :) It seems as though you are growing and changing daily. You are starting to become such a cute little person with a personality. You are wide eyed and take in everything around you. You don't cry often (but when you're hungry, you certainly let us know). You make a very cute pouting sound sometimes when you are asleep and when you are in a deep sleep, your mouth is always wide open, just like someone else I know ;) You are starting to fill out and are getting the cutest baby cheeks, I just love to kiss them! You have been so good every time we have gone somewhere. Your very quiet and get a ton of compliments. You are a very strong boy and hold your head up sometimes. You'll be rolling over before we know it!

Thank you Wyatt for a great month and all of them that are to come. I am so lucky to be your mommy. I love you to the moon and back again :)

Bath Time!

Today our lil guy is 4 weeks old! Hard to believe that in a couple of days he'll be one month old! We've learned that one of his favorite things is bath time. He seems soo relaxed and pleasant during his baths and he is just too cute in his little tub and those adorable hooded towels :)

My whole world....

It's officially happened... I believe all of those things that my mom used to tell me. You know, like when your parents would say "someday you'll understand when you have kids of your own". Yep, it's true. I now know what it's like to worry about someone every second of the day, to want to make sure that he's happy all the time, to want to take away any hurt that he has , to want to make sure that he knows how much his mommy loves him and so on. He truly has become my whole world. I really couldn't have imagined how much I would love this lil guy and of course, I wouldn't trade it for anything!

** Update to the last post- We finally broke down and bought a bassinet. And... it's worked pretty well so far! We're spending much less time sleeping in the recliner. We're still not sure what he had against the Pack and Play, but he seems to like the bassinet. I'm sure it helps that it rocks and vibrates. Also, we went for his 1st pediatrician apt. last week and she said he looks great! He weighed 7lbs 13 ozs and was 20 1/2 in. long. He's a growing boy :)
