Outdoor Fun!

Last weekend, we finally had some great weather. We blew up Wyatt's hippo pool and he LOVED it! This kid was made to be outside and playing in the water seems to be one of his favorite things. I can't wait until I'm off work for the summer and we can spend all the time we want playing outside (only 5 more days- yippee!) AND- last Sunday Wyatt started walking! He's still really wobbly, but it's a start :) His motivation was not wanting to crawl on the grass. He didn't seem to like the feel of it, so all of a sudden, he got on his feet and started taking steps! I was so excited that I forgot to get the camera at first, but I did manage to get a short video later.

Party Time!

Wyatt's party was a huge success! We had a house full of our favorite people :) He was funny with his cake and got a ton of great presents. We are blessed with great family and friends!

1st Birthday

Wyatt-

Today is your 1st Birthday! A year ago today, I was headed to the hospital, not having any real clue about how our lives were about to change. This has been the best year of my life. You have brought more joy to our lives than we could have ever imagined. It has been so amazing to watch you grow and change. You have changed from my tiny little baby to my very active little man! You have a smile that is contagious and a laugh that can brighten any ones day. I am constantly amazed at how happy you are! Every time we go out to eat or shopping, we get several commentsabout it. Although, I have to admit, you are going to be a little stubborn like your Mommy and Daddy! When you get your mind set on something, you don't want anything to get in your way. I love to watch you explore and learn about this big world around you. You are curious and into everything. I could literally go on and on about how much I love you and how amazing you are. You are the BEST thing that has ever happened to me and I thank God for you everyday.

Here are a few little 1 year Wyatt facts:

-You are getting so close to walking, but just not there yet.

-You still love your bath time and try to climb in as soon as we start running water.

-You have 4 teeth on top and 3 on bottom

-You are using those little teeth to eat just about anything and everything. You especially love chicken!

-You are an early bird and rarely sleep past 7:00.

-You've had 2 hair cuts already and done great for both.

-You make the cutest sounds are really starting to mimic sounds when we make them.

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, my only request was a trip to the zoo with both my boys :)

Since the weather didn't look so good for Sunday, we headed to the zoo Saturday morning. We had a great time! The animals were very active. Then, it was off to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory- YUMMY! It was such a nice day, that we were able to sit on the patio and eat. On Sunday , we decided to head to Duncan to surprise Mom at church. We definitely caught her off guard when she walked in and saw us. It was perfect :)

Giddy Up!

Wyatt got to get on the horse at the grocery store again this week. This time though, Mommy actually had quarters with her so Wyatt got to go for a ride. He loved it!

Uh-Oh....

This morning as I was emptying the dishwasher, I thought Wyatt was playing in the living room floor with some of his toys. Instead, when I looked in to check on him this is what I found....

Our little monkey has apparently figured out how to climb onto the fireplace! As you can see, I've already had to take off all of our pictures and decorations, because he kept picking them up and thought it was funny to hit them against the brick. Needless to say, we will be watching him extra carefully from now on! (Yes, after I got my picture, I got him down and told him "NO, NO!")
