Yee-Haw!!!

Wyatt's Papa Joes has said that when the grandkids get bigger he's going to get them a pony, so we decided that Wyatt Man should get some practice while we were at the grocery store. Pretty sure he's a natural- he just grabbed the reigns like he new exactly what he was doing! So, whenever your ready Papa Joe we'll take that pony- that will be kept at your house of course ;)

1st Haircut

Before.... (poor kid was on the verge of having a mullet!)

Looking much better!

Today we took Wyatt for his very 1st hair cut. He did so great! At first he was amazed by the cape that they put on him, then we gave him a strawberry sucker to keep him entertained. There was another little boy before us that cried the entire time, so were pretty impressed with our little guy :) He looks really cute and we can spike it up, which I love! I have to say though, it makes him look even older, which makes me a bit sad. My little guy is getting so big!

Update

(Sorry for the lack of a catchy title!)

Wyatt is now on ear infection #6, since the beginning of Dec. Luckily, we already had an appointment with an ENT on Tuesday. He is on another antibiotic and will be getting tubes put in the first of April. We are confident that this is the best decision for our little guy. We hate seeing him go through the pain that the ear infections cause and we have heard so many great stories about having the tubes put in.
In other news... On Feb. 27th my Mom had her big back surgery. Though it was pretty rough at first, she seems to be doing soo much better and was able to go home yesterday. Last weekend, we all went down to Plano to help out so Dad could go home and get some rest. As you can see by this picture- Wyatt had a good time! He loved Papa Joe pushing him around in the wheel chair, standing up with Mom's walker and playing with the balloon we got her. Who knew the hospital could be so much fun?!?
Next week is Spring Break- THANK GOODNESS!!!

Cousins :)

We're home from a wonderful weekend spent in Branson meeting our new nephew and getting to spend time with the rest of his family too. Wyatt and Karis had so much fun together. She would just crack up every time she saw him. They were so fun to watch! They are going to have so much fun together when they get bigger. Here's a little glimpse at our weekend... Enjoy :)

Meeting Cousin Kai for the first time

The next few pics are of the kids in the fun initial shirts that I got them at "An Affair of the Heart". We tried to have a little photo shoot and well, with a 9mth old, 5 mth old and newborn, it proved to be a bit of a challenge. It was very funny though and we did manage to get a few good shots :)

Seriously, is she not the cutest thing?!?
Amy made these cute hats for Karis and I couldn't resist putting one on Wyatt too for some pics. I don't think Aaron was to happy that he was wearing pink, but oh well! ha!

Nine

Wyatt-
I say it every month, but I can't believe how fast time is going by! You are now 9 months old. This has been a big month for you. Just a week after you turned 8 months old, you started crawling. You are constantly on the go now! You love to go exploring all over the place and Mommy and Daddy have to keep an extra careful eye on you. You also like to pull up on things and stand. Your crib rail has some nice little teeth marks on it from you standing in it :) You have really started talking alot too. I'm pretty proud because now you can say "mama". You've started eating some new foods this month- yogurt, lil crunchies and puffs, baby foods with meat (though Mommy really does not like the smell of them!) and white grape juice. At your 9 mth check-up this week you were 24lbs 4 oz (90th percentile) and 30 1/2 in long (97th percentile!!!) You are going to be a big boy and maybe end up tall like your Papa Joe.
I love you more than I could have ever imagined. You have brought so much happiness to our lives and I thank God for you every day. I pray that you will always know how much your Daddy and I care about you and want you to have all that this big world has to offer you.
Love you miles and miles forever - Mommy
P.S.- We had professional pics taken on Wednesday, so stayed tuned for a sneak peek!

A new addition!

Last night, the Hobson family gained a new member! Our nephew, Malachi, was born at 11:07 wighing 7lbs 5ozs. We couldn't be more excited for my brother and his family! Mom and Dad will be heading to Branson tomorrow morning to meet their grandson and we will hopefully get to go next weekend. We can't wait to see him and of course see his big sister too!

In Wyatt news.... After a week of coughing and runny nose, I headed to the ped. with him on Tuesday morning. The diagnosis- ANOTHER ear infection! This time it was in both ears and one of them ruptured. Poor kid :( I feel terrible for him. They gave him a shot and it really seemed to help him feel better. We go back next Wed. to see how the membrane has healed and decide where to go from there. We're kind of hoping to go ahead and have tubes put in, so that we can hopefully get past all these ear infections and minimize the risk of any hearing loss later. He'll also get his 9 mth shots on Wed. Can you believe he's about to hit the 9mth mark- wow!

Meet Riley :)

This adorable little girl is Miss Riley Storm. My friend Tiffany welcomed the newest addition to her family on Friday. Poor Tiff had a rough week with high blood pressure and being induced, but she was trooper and it all paid off to meet this precious girl.

Yesterday, all of us girls were able to meet up and visit with Tiff, Matt and Riley. It's always nice for all of us to be able to get together and I LOVE that my friends are having babies ;) It makes me so excited to think about how fun our gatherings will be in the future with all the kiddos around! Mom and Dad also came up yesterday. Thankfully, Dad was able to help Aaron and I with our taxes (always nice to have an accountant in the family!). Today is Dad's Birthday, too! So, Happy Birthday Papa Joe!
