Only in Oklahoma can you you spend one day walking around the zoo in 70 degree weather and then the next few days stuck inside while there is a blizzard with single digit temperatures and below zero wind chills! Friday and Saturday, the weather was PERFECT! We played outside Friday after work then grilled steaks and Saturday we did some shopping, went to the zoo and grilled burgers-- it was fantastic! Then, the bottom fell out... Sunday and Monday were cold and Monday night, the blizzard started! It was so crazy to see the blowing snow. We ended up with about a foot of snow and up to 5 ft drifts in some places! And it is COLD, some record setting cold temps for the state of OK!
While I am super sad that we lost our 3 Fridays off in April and will now probably have to add some days at the end of the school, I have to admit that I have thoroughly enjoyed the past two days at home with my guys. I was a little sad that Aaron had to leave us today. There is just something nice about being at home, no reason to go anywhere or feel rushed to do anything. We got to cuddle in the mornings, eat all three meals a day together (and we've eaten PLENTY!), play to our hearts content, watch a lot of Mickey, play in the snow, hang out with our neighbors and just have a great time! I wouldn't trade the past two days for anything :)
Watching Daddy shovel off the sidewalk
So bundled up that he can hardly bend over :)
He loved to throw the snow up!
